NAKED ON THE VAGUE

Website | Myspace | Twitter

2006 to present

Matthew Hopkins plays guitar/ electronics in his band Naked On The Vague. Naked On The Vague formed out of Sydney, Australia in 2006, taking to the world their own style of apocalyptic no-wave pop and dark psychedelic weirdness, all washed with a heavy dose of distortion and delay.

The band has steadily released a number of records including their well-regarded debut album, 'The Blood Pressure Sessions' (Siltbreeze/ Dual Plover), and a few EPs on labels such as Sacred Bones and Skulltones. Their second album 'Heaps of Nothing', which has just been released on legendary US imprint Siltbreeze, is a dense, brain frying, psychedelic punk album.

Next up for Naked On The Vague is the soon to be released split 12" with Wet Hair on the Night People. They are also working on a film and music project 'Twelve Dark Noons', which is a collaboration between Future Primitive Films, Sacred Bones and Night People.
